The congress reaffirmed support for the peaceful and democratic strategy of struggle EPDP adopted in the fight against the PFDJ ruling regime in our country. This is effective and realistic strategy to depose the PFDJ regime from power and lay ground conducive for sustainable peace, freedom, and justice in future
Eritrea. EPDP’s embracing of peaceful and democratic strategy takes into account a strong recognition of the violent culture we inherited from the liberation era, which can easily transform Eritrea into a breeding ground for violent adversaries, resulting in vicious cycle of armed conflicts, hostility within Eritrean society, destruction of economy and property, and loss of Eritrean lives.

There are 18 teachers, 15 of whom are working voluntarily, but three of them get from time to time financial support from Islamic Relief Organization. There is a clinic that is not functioning but there is a doctor and two nurses who are willing to run it. There are 419 pupils in the school named after the late martyr of Eritrean struggle for independence Gumhed Idriss. School supplies including books, pencils, etc are also needed.

Contrary to any rational expectation, the EDA’s excessive pre-occupation with holding consecutive conferences is underpinned by the assumption that there is already a power vacuum in Asmara and hence its prioritisation of transitional arrangements that would facilitate its ascendance to power…The EDA, by missing the priorities of the nation and its people and by failing to address its structural deficiency, it has once again proved right those who have always doubted that it has a vision for Eritrea. .
